在2009年我國醫用電子儀器市場規模為168.6億元，增長率為15.6%;2010年的市場規模為195.6億元，增長率為15.5%;在2012年達到了272.5億元，增長率為19.5%。

從全球范圍來看，市場對醫療電子產品的需求越來越大，尤其是對計算機斷層掃描儀、磁共振儀、高檔超聲波診斷儀器等高端產品需求的快速增長，帶動了全球醫療電子市場規模的擴大。
現代醫學中，幾乎所有的醫療設備都離不開電子技術。醫療設備成本中醫療電子部件的成本超過10%甚至更多。從近幾年我國醫用電子儀器市場規模與增長率可以看出其發展態勢。在2009年我國醫用電子儀器市場規模為168.6億元，增長率為15.6%;2010年的市場規模為195.6億元，增長率為15.5%;在2012年達到了272.5億元，增長率為19.5%。業內人士預計，我國醫用電子儀器在2013年市場規模有望達到316.5億元，全年增速為16.1%，并將在未來三年仍然保持高速增長。
在2013年第一季度，其中心電圖及其它電圖機占據市場份額最大，為25.2%，其次為無創監護儀器，占據21.9%市場份額;心腦眼肌治療急救裝置占據18.3%市場份額，電子壓力測定裝置為16.2%，血流量容量測定裝置為6.8%，其他為11.6%。
中國醫療儀器行業協會的年檢顯示：在CT醫學影像設備中，電子類部件占總成本比重為11%;在導管等醫用材料中，電子元器件與材料占比則超過40%.受中國經濟持續健康發展及國家對全社會醫療服務體系建設重視程度不斷提高等有利因素的帶動。
未來幾年，中國醫療電子市場將持續平穩增長，年均復合增長率將達到20%左右。中國電子信息產業有“珠三角電子產業圈”、“長三角電子產業圈”和“環渤海電子產業圈”。
從醫療器械電子部件生產來看，可能深圳比較居有優勢。其一，深圳有強大的電子工業和信息產業。深圳醫療電子產品的發展除了本身的努力和市場需求的促進以外，在很大程度上是得益于深圳強大的電子工業和信息產業的迅猛發展。因為電子企業具備重合的產業鏈，所以深圳醫療電子產業就可以得益于現成的產業鏈高速發展;其二，深圳現有醫療器械產品種類較多，在某些產品領域的市場占有率高。
如醫療成像設備核磁、B超、病人監護儀、血液細胞分析儀、生化分析儀、介入性導管支架、骨科產品、電子血壓計等都是深圳醫療器械行業的拳頭產品;而且其中多款產品大量出口，有些產品在全國占有的比例是處于領先地位。

From the point of view of the production of electronic components of medical devices, Shenzhen may have a comparative advantage. First, Shenzhen has a strong electronics and information industry.
